Supporting Safer Births, Stronger Families
Caring for others has always been at the heart of who I am. As a naturally empathetic and compassionate nurturer, I have spent over 30 years serving individuals in a variety of healthcare and support roles. I am a certified CNA with training in CPR, HIPAA compliance, substance awareness, and Black maternal health care.
In addition to my professional experience, my passion for caregiving is deeply rooted in my personal life. I have birthed and supported three premature babies, gaining invaluable hands-on experience, strength, and resilience. I was also honored to be present to help welcome my grandson into the world—an experience that further deepened my commitment to providing attentive, compassionate care during life’s most critical moments.
Throughout my career, I have found my greatest passion in supporting mothers and families during one of life’s most meaningful journeys—birth. I am honored to walk alongside mothers, providing emotional, physical, and informational support while helping create a calm, empowering birthing experience. I truly cherish the connections I build, often gaining not just clients, but lasting friendships and extended family.
I also incorporate my love for holistic care by preparing herbal health teas to support mothers during pregnancy and postpartum. As I continue to grow in this field, I am working toward becoming a certified midwife, with the goal of serving my community through both home and birthing center care.
In the United States, Black women face a pregnancy-related mortality rate nearly three times higher than that of other ethnicities, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Many of these deaths are preventable and reflect persistent inequities in healthcare access, quality of care, and patient advocacy.
This reality is a big part of why this work matters so deeply to me. Supporting, uplifting, and advocating for mothers—especially within Black maternal health—is not just my profession, it is my purpose. I am committed to helping families feel heard, respected, and safe throughout their journey.
